The pilot organises capabilities into foundational, technical, digital, AI, soft, leadership and emerging skills. These categories help organise exploration; they are not a validated scoring system.
Connect the records
A career points to skills. A program can point to those same skills. This makes it possible to discuss how an education pathway relates to a career without treating every program as interchangeable.
Treat mappings as editorial judgements
A title alone cannot prove that a program teaches a skill. Review module descriptions, assessment and learning outcomes before approving a production mapping.
Next steps for data quality
The CMS supports reviewed sources and publication states. Program-to-skill links in this release are explicitly illustrative until curriculum review is complete.
