A vacancy count needs a source, a collection date and a consistent definition of an active listing. Counts from different boards can overlap.
Avoid simple addition
Combining feeds requires deduplication and an understanding of geographic and occupational coverage. More postings do not automatically mean more unique opportunities.
Explain the limitations
A job-board dataset may underrepresent informal recruitment or certain sectors. Historic hiring can provide context without guaranteeing future openings.
